Interested in abseiling down our church tower?

Subject to sufficient interest, St Chad's are considering having another sponsored abseil down the church tower over the summer to raise much needed funds for the church. Anyone over the age of 16 who would be interested in taking part, please contact the vicar, Rev David Scurr on 01829 270270 to register your interest. More details will follow if we have enough applicants

Gift Day at St Chad's

Like many other churches, St Chad's relies on the generosity of our congregation and other supporters, not just to pay the bills - but to allow us to expand the work done inside the church and also the pastoral outreach carried out within our community. Please do consider supporting your local church on 16th June from 10am-12 noon
Rushbearing Fete and Rushbearing Festival Family Communion

On Saturday 14th July at 2pm, St Chad's Rushbearing Festival will begin when we gather outside the Memorial Hall for the start of the parade. This year we will be led by Farndon Band and Mr Neil Lewis on his tractor. We will process up the High Street and back into Church Lane by the surgery, before entering the Vicarage Garden, where our Fete will begin with the crowning of this year's Rose Queen. We wil then be entertained by the children of Farndon School performing a Country Dancing display. This year's Fete also has many new attractions and flyers with more information will be coming through your doors in the village in the near future. On Sunday 15th July we will have our Rushbearing Festival Family Communion at 9.30am
